Services

Encinitas STAR Smog & Auto Repair performs California-required smog inspections and full-service auto repair. All smog services are performed in accordance with California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) regulations. Auto repair services include brakes, oil changes, tune-ups, engine diagnostics, AC service, timing belt, exhaust, transmission, and scheduled maintenance.

Coupons & Pricing

All advertised coupons ($15 Off Smog, $195.95 Brake Pads, $25 Off Auto Repair, $188.99 30K/60K/90K, $49.95 + Freon AC) are valid for most cars with terms stated on each coupon. Coupons must be presented at time of write-up. Not valid with other offers. Additional fees (state certificate, Freon, truck/SUV/van surcharges) apply where noted.

Inspection Results

Smog inspection results are determined by California BAR standards and certified equipment. Results are transmitted electronically to the California DMV. We do not control DMV processing times or decisions.

Auto Repair Estimates

Repair estimates are provided in writing before work begins. Customer authorization is required before any additional work is performed. Parts warranties vary by manufacturer; labor warranty is 12 months or 12,000 miles on most services.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of services performed. We are not responsible for pre-existing vehicle conditions, failures of unrelated components during inspection, or consequential damages.
